Description

The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has officially issued the admit cards for the Combined Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026, conducted for recruitment to key administrative positions in the state. The download link was activated on the Commission’s website on the evening of April 14.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 103 vacancies, including prestigious posts such as Deputy Collector and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP). Examination centres have been set up across all 24 districts of Jharkhand, where thousands of candidates are expected to appear.

Exam Schedule and Pattern

The JPSC Preliminary Examination will be held on April 19, 2026 (Sunday). The test will be conducted in offline mode using OMR sheets and will consist of two compulsory papers. Each paper will carry 200 marks.

Notably, there is no negative marking, allowing candidates to attempt all questions without penalty.

  • Paper I (General Studies I): 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

  • Paper II (General Studies II): 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Steps to Download Admit Card

Candidates can download their admit cards from the official website or the OTR portal by following these steps:

  • First visit the JPSC official website.

  • Now click on the link on the homepage.

  • Enter your registration number/email ID/mobile number along with your password.

  • After logging in, your admit card will appear on the screen.

  • Download it and take at least 2–3 printouts on A4 paper for future use.

Documents Required at Exam Centre

Candidates must carry the following items to the examination centre:

  • Printed admit card with a clear photograph

  • Valid photo ID proof (Aadhaar card, Voter ID, Driving License, or PAN card – original and photocopy)

  • Two passport-size photographs (same as uploaded in the application form)

  • Blue or black ballpoint pen for marking answers on the OMR sheet

Important Instructions

The Commission has strictly prohibited the use of electronic devices such as mobile phones, smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or calculators inside the examination hall. Candidates are advised to reach their designated centres at least one hour before the reporting time to complete security checks and formalities.

Entry will not be permitted after the gates are closed under any circumstances.

This examination presents a significant opportunity for aspirants in Jharkhand. Candidates who qualify in the preliminary stage will proceed to the main examination, followed by the interview round.
