Description
The Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur (IIT Kharagpur) has expanded its online executive education portfolio by introducing four specialised programmes focused on modern industry demands. These courses are part of the institute’s Platinum Jubilee initiatives and aim to strengthen professional expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and technology leadership.
The newly launched programmes are designed for working professionals who want to upgrade their skills in advanced and applied AI domains. Along with an Executive Programme in Technology and AI Leadership, the institute has introduced three Executive Post Graduate Certificate (EPGC) courses covering Generative AI and Agentic AI, Applied AI and Machine Learning, and AI-Native Software Engineering.
These programmes have been developed through collaboration between key academic units, including the Department of Computer Science and Engineering, the AI department, and the Partha Ghosh School of Leadership. The focus is on building practical, job-ready skills rather than purely theoretical knowledge.
The curriculum includes advanced topics such as large language models (LLMs), multi-agent systems, AI-driven architecture, deep learning, and MLOps. The goal is to prepare professionals to design, build, and deploy real-world AI systems effectively.
