Description

The Ministry of Railways has released an official notice providing the tentative schedule for the Computer Based Test (CBT-1) under CEN 07/2025 for Non-Technical Popular Categories (Under Graduate). The recruitment process will be conducted by various Railway Recruitment Board centres across the country.

As per the notification, the CBT-1 exam for undergraduate-level posts will be conducted in multiple phases during May and June. This examination is part of the ongoing recruitment drive for non-technical posts in Indian Railways.

Exam Schedule and City Information

The CBT-1 exam is scheduled to be held on May 07, 08, and 09, followed by additional sessions on June 13, 14, and from June 16 to June 21.

Candidates will be able to check their exam city, date, and shift details through a link that will be activated approximately 10 days before their exam date. The same portal will also provide travel authority documents for eligible SC and ST candidates. All updates will be available only on official RRB websites.

Admit Card and Entry Rules

The e-call letter will be issued four days before the scheduled examination date. Candidates must download it and carry a printed copy along with a valid identity proof to the exam centre.

Biometric verification linked with Aadhaar will be conducted at the entry point. Candidates are required to carry their original Aadhaar card or an e-verified Aadhaar printout for authentication.

Aadhaar Verification Guidelines

Candidates are advised to ensure that their Aadhaar details are correct and updated, including name, date of birth (as per Class 10 certificate), photograph, address, and father’s name.

It is also important that Aadhaar remains unlocked in the UIDAI system on the day of the exam to avoid issues during verification. Even candidates who completed Aadhaar verification earlier should reconfirm their status before the exam.

Warning Against Fraud

The Railway Recruitment Board has cautioned applicants to depend only on official websites for accurate updates. Candidates are also advised to stay alert against fraudulent individuals or agents promising job placement in exchange for money.

The board has clearly stated that selection will be based solely on the CBT examination, and no other mode of recruitment will be used.
