Description

The Intelligence Bureau is expected to announce the IB MTS Result 2026 soon on the official website of the Ministry of Home Affairs. As of April 13, 2026, candidates who took the exam are eagerly waiting to know their qualifying status.

The Multi-Tasking Staff (MTS) exam was conducted on January 27, 2026, for a total of 362 vacancies. Once published, the result will be provided in PDF format on mha.gov.in, listing the roll numbers of candidates selected for the next phase of recruitment.

Result Status and Preparation

Soon after the exam, the provisional answer key along with candidates’ response sheets was released within a couple of days. Objections raised by candidates are currently being examined. The final answer key, once issued, will be used to prepare the IB MTS Result 2026.

The selection process involves multiple stages, including Tier 1, Tier 2, and an interview. Only those who pass the written exam will proceed further.

How to Check the Result

Candidates can view their results by visiting the official website and clicking on the IB MTS Result 2026 link. The merit list PDF will contain roll numbers of shortlisted candidates, which can be easily searched. It is recommended to download and save the result for future reference.

The result PDF will include important information such as the exam name, candidate’s roll number, name, marks scored, and instructions for the next stage. Any errors should be reported immediately to the authorities.

Marking Scheme

The written test consisted of objective-type multiple-choice questions. Each correct answer is awarded one mark, while each incorrect response leads to a deduction of 0.25 marks.

Candidates can calculate their expected scores by adding marks for correct responses and subtracting penalties for wrong answers.

Merit List and Cut-Off

The merit list will be released along with the cut-off marks. It will be prepared based on candidates’ performance in the written exam, applicable stages of selection, category-wise vacancies, and document verification.

Cut-off marks will vary depending on several factors such as the number of applicants, total vacancies, reservation policies, exam difficulty level, and normalization methods. Candidates who meet or exceed the cut-off will qualify for the next stage.

Document Verification and Next Step

Candidates who are shortlisted will be invited for document verification. They must present valid documents, including proof of date of birth, educational qualifications, domicile certificate, and category or disability certificates (if applicable).

Failure to provide the required documents may result in disqualification from the recruitment process.
