Central Reserve Police Force has released a recruitment notification for Constable posts, inviting eligible candidates to apply online through its official website. The application process will begin on April 20, 2026, and will remain open until May 19, 2026.

This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 9,175 vacancies across various trades in the organisation.

Eligibility criteria

For most Constable posts, candidates must be between 21 and 27 years of age as of January 1, 2026. Applicants should have been born between January 2, 1999, and January 1, 2005.

For specific trades such as Motor Mechanic Vehicle, Cobbler, Carpenter, Tailor, Band roles, Gardener, Painter, Cook, Barber, Washerman/Woman, Water Carrier, Safai Karamchari, Mason, Plumber, and Electrician, the age limit is 18 to 23 years as of January 1, 2026. In this case, candidates must be born between January 2, 2003, and January 1, 2008.

Selection process

The recruitment process will include multiple stages:

• Physical Efficiency Test (PET)

• Physical Standard Test (PST)

• Computer-Based Test (CBT)

• Trade/Skill Test

• Document Verification (DV)

• Medical Examination (DME/RME)

Candidates who qualify in PET and PST will be shortlisted for the CBT. The physical tests will be conducted using RFID-based systems and digital measurement tools to ensure accuracy and transparency.

Application fee

Male candidates from General, OBC, and EWS categories are required to pay an application fee of Rs 100 per post.

Candidates belonging to SC, ST, all female applicants, and ex-servicemen are exempted from paying the fee.

The fee can be paid online through BHIM UPI, net banking, credit/debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, RuPay), or CSC Wallet.
