The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has issued the city intimation slip for the Civil Services Preliminary Examination 2026. As per the official update, candidates can now check the district allotted for their exam by logging into the One Time Registration (OTR) portal on the Commission’s website starting April 8, 2026.

The admit card, which will include complete details such as the exact exam centre address, instructions, and attendance sheet, will be released on April 14, 2026, from 5 PM onwards. Candidates will need to log in using their email ID, mobile number, or registration number along with their password to download it.

Exam Centres and Vacancies

The JPSC Preliminary Examination will be conducted across all 24 districts of Jharkhand, including major locations like Ranchi, Dhanbad, Jamshedpur (East Singhbhum), Bokaro, Hazaribagh, Deoghar, Dumka, and Palamu.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 103 vacancies in the state civil services, including posts such as Deputy Collector and Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP).

Exam Pattern and Schedule

The selection process will follow three stages:

• Preliminary Examination

• Main Examination

• Interview

The Preliminary Exam is scheduled for April 19, 2026, with the following timings:

• Paper I (General Studies I): 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM

• Paper II (General Studies II): 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM

Both papers will be objective type, carrying 200 marks each, with a duration of two hours per paper. There is no negative marking, which may impact candidates’ answering strategies. Paper II is qualifying in nature, while merit will be determined based on performance in Paper I.
