Description

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has released the assessment scheme for the Class 12 Result 2026 applicable to students in West Asian countries. The detailed scheme is available on the official CBSE website at cbse.gov.in. Schools can now upload the Class 12 marks for students, with the deadline set for April 17, 2026.

Assessment Scheme for Result Declaration

According to the Board’s guidelines, subjects in which exams were conducted will consider actual performance for result calculation. For subjects where exams were not held, the Board has devised a method to ensure fair and valid evaluation, taking into account different scenarios for each case.

Schools are responsible for ensuring that all uploaded marks are accurate, as no corrections or changes will be entertained later due to errors or mistakes. The official assessment scheme also mandates that schools seal all examination records, including answer sheets, under the signatures of the principal and vice-principal, and maintain them securely for verification by the Board.

CBSE has clarified that the process of obtaining photocopies, verification, or re-evaluation of marks will only be available for subjects where exams were conducted. Students who do not meet passing criteria in a subject may appear for a compartment exam and will be categorized as “compartment” if applicable.

CBSE Class 12 Exam 2026 Schedule

The Class 12 board exams began on February 17, 2026, and will conclude on April 10, 2026. The exams started with subjects such as Biotechnology, Entrepreneurship, and Shorthand and will end with Legal Studies. All exams are conducted in a single shift from 10:30 AM to 1:30 PM.

This year, approximately 44 lakh students have registered for the Class 10 and 12 exams. For more information and updates, students can visit the official CBSE website.
