The Arunachal Pradesh Staff Selection Board (APSSB) has released the official notification for IRB GD Constable Recruitment 2026 under Advertisement No. 04/2026. The recruitment drive aims to fill 984 Group C posts in uniformed services. Eligible candidates can apply online through the official APSSB portal. Vacancy Details

A total of 984 vacancies are available across various posts as follows:

Constable Band (IRBn): 44 posts
Constable Bugler: 2 posts
Constable (IRBn): 236 posts
Civil Police (Female): 170 posts
Civil Police (Male): 216 posts
Fireman: 73 posts
Special Tiger Guard/STPF: 243 posts

Selected candidates will be appointed at Pay Level-3 with a salary range of Rs 21,700 to Rs 69,100, along with allowances.

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification:

Must have passed Matriculation (Class 10) from a recognised board.
Candidates applying for Band or Bugler posts should have basic knowledge of music.
Other posts require candidates to meet prescribed physical standards.

Age Limit:

Constable posts: 18 to 22 years
Fireman and Special Tiger Guard: Up to 32 years

Physical Standards (Male Candidates):

Height: 152 cm to 165 cm
Chest: 79 cm to 84 cm
Candidates must also clear running and jumping events in the Physical Efficiency Test (PET).

Selection Process

The recruitment process consists of multiple stages:

Written Test (200 marks, objective type covering General Awareness, Reasoning, Mathematics, and English) – scheduled for May 10, 2026
Physical Standard Test (PST) – begins May 25, 2026
Physical Efficiency Test (PET)
Trade Test (if applicable)
Medical Examination

Unreserved (UR) candidates: Rs 200
