The RTE Maharashtra admission lottery for the 2026–27 academic session was conducted at 11:00 AM on April 6 at Vidya Nirbhaya, Pune. The computerized draw was used to allocate seats for 2,89,609 applicants under the 25% reservation quota in private schools.
By around noon, the lottery process was completed, and parents are now waiting for the official results to be published on the admission portal. Authorities also provided a live streaming facility, enabling applicants to watch the selection process in real time.
Lottery Process and Result Availability
The draw was carried out using a centralized digital system to maintain transparency. Parents and guardians could follow the process through the official live streaming link.

After the completion of the draw, the list of selected candidates is expected to be uploaded on the official portal in the coming days. Once released, applicants will also receive SMS notifications on their registered mobile numbers.
Application Rules and Eligibility
This year, the earlier restriction of selecting schools only within a 1 km radius has been removed. Applicants can now choose schools from three distance categories:

Parents were also given the option to make corrections in their application forms through an “unconfirm” feature. Authorities have advised applicants to update any incorrect information promptly, as errors may lead to rejection during the admission process.
Candidates were required to upload all necessary documents while applying. Officials have clarified that incomplete or missing documents during verification may result in disqualification, even if the candidate is selected in the lottery.
