IGNOU 2026: Application & Assignment Submission Deadlines Extended

The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has announced an extension for applications and assignment submissions for its Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and online programmes.

Application deadline extended

Students wishing to enroll in the January 2026 session now have until April 10, 2026, to submit their applications:

• For ODL programmes, applications can be submitted at official website

• For online programmes, registration is open at official website

Assignment submission extension

The last date for submitting assignments for the June 2026 Term End Examinations (TEE) has also been extended to April 30, 2026. This applies to students enrolled in ODL and online programmes, including GOAL (Guyana Online Academy of Learning) and EVBB (E-VidyaBharati), IGNOU’s initiatives for international learners.

Students are required to submit both hard copies to designated centres and soft copies via the official online portals. IGNOU has emphasized that the submission procedure remains the same and any programme-specific instructions should be followed as per the official website.

The university has clarified that this is the final extension, and students must ensure timely submission to avoid rejection. Assignments received after April 30, 2026, may not be accepted.
