The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has released the merit list for the TGT Social Science Examination 2025. As per official data, 209,572 candidates registered for the exam, while 120,302 candidates appeared for the preliminary examination held on January 17, 2026 (first session).

The recruitment posts include:

• 561 posts – Social Science (Male)

• 140 posts – Social Science (Female)

• 1 post – Special Teacher (Hearing Impaired Institutions)

• 1 post – Special Teacher (Physically Disabled Institutions)

UPPSC has stated that candidates who have qualified in the preliminary stage will need to apply separately for the Mains examination. The Commission will soon issue a detailed notification regarding the online application process and timelines.

• First visit the UPPSC official website.

• Navigate to the “What’s New” or “Results” section on the homepage.

• Click on the link.

• The result PDF will open on your screen.

• Press Ctrl + F and enter your Roll Number to check qualification status.

• If your roll number appears, you are eligible for the Mains examination.

• Download and save the PDF for future reference.

• Take a printout to carry during the next stage of the recruitment process.
