Description

The Union Public Service Commission will conduct the National Defence Academy and Naval Academy Examination (I) 2026 on April 12, 2026, at various centres across India. Candidates eligible for the exam must download their e-Admit card from the official UPSC website, as no physical admit cards will be issued for this session.

Candidates are required to print and retain the e-Admit card until the final results are announced. Entry to the examination hall will only be allowed upon presenting the printed e-Admit card along with a valid photo ID listed on the admit card.

Admit Card Verification Instructions

If a candidate’s photograph on the e-Admit card is missing, unclear, or does not include the name and date, they must bring a valid photo ID along with two passport-size photographs containing their name and date—one for each session. Any discrepancies must be reported immediately to UPSC at usnda-upsc@nic.in.

Exam Timing and Venue Rules

Candidates must arrive at their designated exam venue as mentioned on the e-Admit card. Entry will close 30 minutes before the start of each session: 10:00 AM for the forenoon session and 2:00 PM for the afternoon session. Late entry will not be permitted under any circumstances.

Permitted and Prohibited Items

Candidates cannot bring bags, mobile phones, smart/digital watches, electronic gadgets, books, or any other restricted items into the examination hall, and the Commission will not provide storage facilities. Allowed items include the e-Admit card, valid ID proof, passport-size photographs, and a black ballpoint pen for filling the OMR sheets. Regular wristwatches without digital features are allowed, while smartwatches are strictly prohibited.

Conduct and Post-Exam Instructions

Use or possession of electronic devices inside the exam hall may lead to disciplinary action, including cancellation of candidature or FIR registration. Candidates who have changed their name must carry a government-issued ID reflecting the updated name. Any representations regarding the question paper can be submitted through the UPSC QPRep portal from April 13 to April 19, 2026, until 6:00 PM.

Candidates are advised to follow all instructions carefully to ensure the smooth conduct of the examination.
