Description
The Union Public Service Commission will close the application process for the Combined Medical Services (CMS) Examination 2026 today, March 31, 2026. Candidates who have not yet applied should complete their registration, as only a few hours remain. Applications can be submitted through the official website. The registration process began on March 11, 2026, and the examination is scheduled to take place on August 2, 2026.
Through the CMS 2026 exam, selected candidates will be recruited for important medical positions such as Assistant Divisional Medical Officer in the Railways, General Duty Medical Officer in the Central Health Service, and Medical Officer roles in municipal bodies and other government healthcare departments.
To be eligible, applicants must have passed both the written and practical parts of their final MBBS examination. However, students currently in their final year of MBBS can also apply, provided they submit proof of passing their final exams during the final selection stage.

The recruitment will take place in two phases:
A computer-based written examination
A personality test (interview)
Candidates who clear the written test will be shortlisted for the interview round conducted by UPSC.
