The Continuing Education Programme (CEP) at IIT Delhi has announced the launch of the 8th edition of its Advanced Certificate Programme in AI, ML, and DL, previously called the Certificate Programme in Machine Learning and Deep Learning. The course is designed for graduates and postgraduates eager to develop expertise in artificial intelligence, machine learning, and deep learning, even if they do not have prior experience in these fields.

The programme will run from 26th July 2026 to 22nd January 2027 and is offered through the eVIDYA online platform, allowing participants from India and abroad to attend remotely. Admissions are now open, with a programme fee of ?1,95,000 plus 18% GST. The course includes 80 hours of live online instruction, along with assignments, quizzes, capstone projects, and an optional one-day on-campus immersion at IIT Delhi.

The course begins with foundational modules covering Python programming, applied mathematics, and data analytics to prepare learners for advanced AI topics. Participants then progress to machine learning and deep learning, including neural networks, deep learning architectures, and practical AI applications. The programme emphasizes hands-on learning with tools like Python, TensorFlow, Keras, Scikit-learn, Visual ML Lab, and Visual DL Lab. Additionally, learners gain insights into emerging AI trends through sessions on RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and Agentic AI.

Practical Learning and Capstone Projects

A key feature of the programme is the Bring Your Own Project (BYOP) capstone, where learners implement a real-world AI/ML solution, applying the skills they acquire throughout the course. Assignments, quizzes, and case studies further reinforce practical knowledge, while live sessions provide interactive engagement with IIT Delhi faculty and industry experts.

Eligibility and Assessment

The programme is open to graduates and postgraduates in engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, electronics, physics, AI, data science, or related disciplines. Assessment is structured as follows: 50% for the final MCQ exam, 20% for assignments and quizzes, 20% for the capstone project, and 10% for attendance.
