The Rajasthan Board of Secondary Education has released the Class 5 and Class 8 results for 2026 on March 24. After completing the evaluation process, the board has made the results available online, enabling students to check their provisional scorecards through official websites.

This year, more than 26 lakh students appeared for the examinations. The results include details such as pass percentages, individual performance, and the number of students placed in the supplementary category.

Class 5 Result Highlights

A total of 13,68,947 students took the Class 5 exam across 18,621 centres. Out of these, 13,23,936 students cleared the exam, resulting in an overall pass percentage of 97.75%.

• Boys’ pass percentage: 97.59%

• Girls’ pass percentage: 97.94%

• Students in supplementary: 30,640

Girls performed slightly better than boys, with a difference of 0.35%.

Class 8 Result Highlights

For Class 8, exams were held at 10,056 centres, with 12,86,220 students appearing. Among them, 12,45,735 students passed, leading to an overall pass percentage of 97.01%.

• Boys’ pass percentage: 96.52%

• Girls’ pass percentage: 97.57%

• Students in supplementary: 38,276

Here too, girls outperformed boys by 1.05%.

Students can access their results through official portals such as:

To view the scorecard, students need to enter details like class, roll number, district, application number or school code, along with captcha verification. The result will display subject-wise marks, total score, and qualifying status.

Passing Criteria and Grading

Students must score at least 33% marks in each subject as well as overall to pass. For Class 8, the board uses a grading system, where a minimum grade of ‘D’ is required to qualify.

Supplementary Exams and Promotion

Students who are placed in the supplementary category will get another chance to appear for re-examinations. Those who pass will be promoted to the next class Class 5 students to Class 6 and Class 8 students to Class 9.

Previous Year Comparison

In the previous academic year, the pass percentage was around 97.30% for Class 5 and 95.72% for Class 8. This year shows a slight improvement in overall performance.

Students are advised to carefully review their marksheets and report any discrepancies to their respective schools or board officials for correction.
