The National Testing Agency has announced the Stage 1 results for the National Institute of Fashion Technology Entrance Examination on March 20, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the exam can now check and download their results through the official portal, NTA NIFTEE official website.

The NIFTEE 2026 Stage 1 examination was conducted on February 8, 2026, for admission into various undergraduate and postgraduate programmes at the National Institute of Fashion Technology for the academic year 2026–27. As per the official notification, the exam was conducted across 129 test centres in 97 cities across India. Depending on the programme, the test was held in Computer-Based Test (CBT) or Paper-Based Test (PBT) mode, available in both Hindi and English.

Programmes Covered Under Stage 1

The Stage 1 results have been released for the following courses:

• Bachelor of Design (B.Des.)

• Bachelor of Fashion Technology (B.F.Tech.)

• Master of Design (M.Des.)

• Master of Fashion Management (M.F.M.)

• Master of Fashion Technology (M.F.Tech.)

• Lateral Entry programmes for B.Des. and B.F.Tech.

The final result for the B.F.Tech. programme will be declared separately, as this course does not include a Stage 2 examination.

Stage 2 Shortlisting

Candidates have been shortlisted for the next stage based on their performance in Stage 1. The selection ratio is 1:4, meaning four candidates are selected for each available seat in every category. For Persons with Disabilities (PwD), a minimum of 50% of the category-wise cut-off marks is required to qualify for shortlisting.

Depending on the programme, Stage 2 will include:

• Situation Test (B.Des.)

• Personal Interview (M.Des., M.F.M., M.F.Tech.)

• Studio Test and Interview (B.Des. Lateral Entry)

• Technical Ability Test and Interview (B.F.Tech. Lateral Entry)

The schedule for Stage 2 will be released later on the official website.

How to Check NIFTEE Stage 1 Result 2026

• Visit the official NTA NIFTEE portal.

• Click on the “NIFTEE 2026 Stage 1 Result” link.

• Enter your application number and password.

• Submit the details to view your result.

• Download and save the result for future reference.

Candidates can directly access their results using the provided link on the official website.

The NTA has also confirmed that the candidature of two candidates has been cancelled due to the use of unfair practices during the examination.
