The Punjab School Education Board (PSEB) has published the provisional answer key for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) 2026. Candidates who participated in the state-level teacher eligibility exam can now check the answer key and download their individual OMR response sheets through the official PSTET website.
The provisional answer key allows candidates to verify their answers and estimate their expected scores before the final results are declared. The board has also activated a challenge window, giving candidates the opportunity to raise objections if they find any discrepancies in the provided answers.
PSTET answer key and OMR sheets released
The PSTET 2026 exam was held on March 15, 2026, for individuals seeking eligibility to teach at the primary and upper primary levels in government and government-aided schools across Punjab.
After the examination, PSEB released the provisional answer keys for both Paper 1 and Paper 2, along with candidates’ OMR sheets. Candidates can log in to the official portal using their credentials to access the answer key based on their question booklet series.
By comparing their marked answers with the official solutions, candidates can calculate an approximate score ahead of the result announcement. The board has clarified that the answer key is provisional, which means changes may be made after reviewing objections submitted by candidates.

Objection window open until March 21
Candidates who wish to challenge any answer in the provisional key can submit their objections between March 17 and March 21, 2026.
To raise an objection, candidates must log in to the official PSTET portal and provide valid supporting documents or references that justify their claim. The board has advised candidates to support their objections with reliable academic sources or standard textbooks.
After the objection period ends, the board will examine all the challenges received. If any objections are found to be valid, the provisional answer key will be corrected, and a final answer key will be released.
Two papers conducted for different teaching levels
The PSTET examination consists of two separate papers, each designed for different teaching levels.
Paper 1: For candidates who want to teach Classes 1 to 5
Paper 2: For candidates who intend to teach Classes 6 to 8
Candidates who wish to qualify for both levels are required to appear for both papers.
The exam assesses candidates on several areas, including child development and pedagogy, language skills, subject knowledge, and teaching aptitude.
Result to be announced after final answer key
Once all objections are reviewed, PSEB will publish the final answer key, which will be used to prepare and declare the PSTET 2026 results. The results are expected to be released in the coming weeks.
Candidates are advised to regularly visit the official PSTET website for the latest updates regarding the final answer key and result announcement. Qualifying the PSTET is a mandatory requirement for candidates seeking teaching jobs in government and government-aided schools in Punjab.
