The National Testing Agency (NTA) has activated the application correction window for the National Common Entrance Test (NCET) 2026. Candidates who have already submitted their forms can now update specific details by visiting the official NCET website at exams.nta.ac.in/NCET.

According to the official announcement, the correction facility began on March 12, 2026, and will remain open until March 14, 2026, at 11:50 PM. Applicants are advised to carefully review their submitted forms and make any necessary corrections within this period, as no additional opportunity for modifications will be provided once the window closes.

Steps to Edit the NCET 2026 Application Form

To make changes, candidates must log in to the portal using their application number and password. After accessing their account, they can update the allowed fields and submit the revised information.

Details That Can Be Modified

The NTA has permitted changes to several fields in the application form, although the extent of modification differs depending on the field.

Candidates can change only one of the following:

  • Candidate’s name

  • Father’s name

  • Mother’s name

Candidates are allowed to edit all of the following details:

  • Class 10 or equivalent examination information

  • Class 12 or equivalent examination information

  • Date of birth

  • Gender

  • Category

  • Sub-category or PwBD/PwD status (if not verified through UDID)

  • Signature

Candidates may also add or update:

  • Subject or test paper selection

  • Preferred university, programme, or course

Details That Cannot Be Changed

Some key information cannot be modified during the correction period. These include:

  • Mobile number

  • Email address

  • Permanent address

  • Current address

  • Uploaded photograph

However, candidates who registered using an identity document other than Aadhaar can update their identity information, including Aadhaar details.

NCET 2026 Exam Information

The NCET 2026 exam is scheduled to be conducted on April 17, 2026, in computer-based test (CBT) mode. The examination will be available in multiple languages such as English, Hindi, Gujarati, Kannada, Assamese, Bengali, Malayalam, Marathi, Telugu, Odia, Punjabi, Tamil, and Urdu.

Applicants may also request a change in their exam city based on either their permanent or current address. However, the NTA reserves the right to assign a different exam city or exam language if required.

Candidates should thoroughly verify all updated details before submitting the corrected application to avoid complications later in the examination process.
