The application correction facility for JEE Main 2026 Session 2 will end today, February 28, 2026, at 11:50 PM. Applicants who need to modify their forms must do so through the official website before the deadline. After the window closes, no additional edits will be permitted. The advance city intimation slip and Session 2 admit card will be issued subsequently.
The correction window was activated by the National Testing Agency (NTA) on February 27, 2026.
Who Can Access the Correction Facility?
The edit option is available to:
Candidates who freshly applied for JEE Main 2026 Session 2
Candidates who appeared in Session 1 and have also registered for Session 2
The editable fields vary depending on whether the applicant is an existing or new candidate.
Correction Details for Existing Candidates
Existing candidates include those who:
Submitted their Session 1 application between October 31 and November 27, 2025, and
Registered again for Session 2 from February 1 to February 25, 2026
They are allowed to modify the following details:
Selected paper or course
Language of the question paper
State code of eligibility
Examination city preferences (from the available list)
Class 10 and Class 12 academic details
Gender and category
Identity information (only if registration was completed using a document other than Aadhaar)
Fee details, if applicable
An additional fee may be required depending on the type of changes made.
Correction Details for New Candidates
New candidates are those who applied only for Session 2 between February 1 and February 25, 2026.
They cannot change:
Registered mobile number or email ID
Permanent or correspondence address
Emergency contact details
Uploaded or live photograph
However, they are permitted to update:
Candidate’s name or parent’s name
Class 10 and Class 12 details
State code of eligibility
Date of birth
Gender, category, sub-category, or PwD status (if not authenticated via the UDID portal)
Signature
Selected paper
If address-related information is modified, candidates may also revise their exam city preference and examination medium. Identity details can only be corrected if Aadhaar was not used during registration.
Applicants are advised to review their entries carefully, as no further opportunity to edit the form will be provided once the correction window closes.
