The National Testing Agency (NTA) has published the roll number list of candidates who have qualified in the Joint CSIR-UGC National Eligibility Test (NET) held in December 2025. The examination took place on 18 December 2025 for aspirants seeking eligibility for Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Lectureship/Assistant Professor roles in science disciplines.
According to the official notice, candidates whose roll numbers are included in the released list have qualified under their respective categories. However, their eligibility remains provisional and subject to meeting all criteria prescribed by the University Grants Commission (UGC).
Category 1: JRF and Assistant Professor Eligibility
Candidates listed under Category 1 have qualified for the award of JRF under the scheme of the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR). In addition to JRF eligibility, these candidates may also apply for Assistant Professor positions, provided they satisfy the academic and institutional requirements specified by UGC.
The computer-based test consisted of three sections Part A, Part B and Part C. The final merit list has been prepared based on candidates’ combined performance across all sections, which determines their placement in various eligibility categories. The roll number lists have been uploaded in PDF format on the official website for easy access and verification.

Cut-Off Marks and Minimum Qualifying Criteria
The NTA has also released subject-wise and category-wise cut-off marks along with the results. The minimum qualifying marks are:
33% for candidates belonging to General, EWS and OBC categories
25% for SC, ST and PwD candidates
These minimum benchmarks apply to Category 1 (JRF and Assistant Professor), Category 2 (Assistant Professor only), as well as candidates eligible for PhD admission. Ranking has been determined primarily on the basis of performance, followed by allocation according to the available fellowship slots in each subject.
Steps to Check the Result
Candidates can access the roll number list by visiting the official NTA website and selecting the CSIR NET December 2025 result link under the latest notifications section. The PDF files containing roll numbers and cut-off marks can be downloaded for future reference.
Final qualification will be subject to document verification during the fellowship award process, recruitment procedures, or admission stages, as applicable.
