Description
The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad, on behalf of the Telangana State Council of Higher Education, has released the official schedule for the Telangana State Post Graduate Engineering Common Entrance Test (TS PGECET) 2026. According to the notification, the online application process will start on February 27, 2026, and the last date to submit completed forms is May 6, 2026. Candidates can apply through the official portal, allowing sufficient time for preparation and registration.
TS PGECET 2026: Application Fee and Eligibility
For the exam, candidates from the General category are required to pay an application fee of Rs 1,100. Students belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), and Persons with Disabilities (PwD) are required to pay a reduced fee of Rs 600.
To be eligible for ranking in TS PGECET, candidates must secure at least 25% of the total marks. However, SC/ST candidates are exempt from this minimum requirement and can still be included in the merit list regardless of their score.
Ranking and Admission Process
A candidate’s rank, based on their performance in the entrance exam, will determine their eligibility during counselling and seat allocation for postgraduate programmes. Higher ranks improve the chances of securing preferred colleges and courses.
