Description

The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced the preliminary examination results for the Assistant Teacher, Trained Graduate (Male/Female) Examination–2025 conducted under Advertisement No. A-5/E-1/2025 dated July 28, 2025. The results have been released for four subjects Science, Commerce, Sanskrit and Home Science.

According to official press statements issued by the Commission’s Prayagraj office, the examinations were conducted in multiple sessions in December 2025. Candidates who have qualified in the preliminary stage will be eligible to appear for the main examination. The result link is available on the official website of UPPSC.

Science Stream: Vacancies and Selection

The Science paper was conducted on December 7, 2025 (first session). The recruitment includes 764 posts for male candidates and 573 posts for female candidates. Additionally, there are 10 Special Teacher posts for Sparsh Blind School/Integrated Special Secondary School, four posts for Signal Deaf and Dumb School/Integrated Special Secondary School, and two posts for Prayas Physically Handicapped School/Integrated Special Secondary School under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.

Out of 1,02,953 registered candidates, 49,538 appeared in the examination. A total of 329 candidates have been shortlisted for the main exam. The Commission clarified that in some categories, selecting candidates up to 15 times the number of vacancies was not possible due to the minimum qualifying standards.

Commerce Stream

The Commerce examination took place on December 21, 2025 (second session) for 35 male and 23 female vacancies. Among 66,165 registered candidates, 30,619 appeared, and 887 candidates have been declared qualified for the next stage.

Sanskrit Stream

The Sanskrit paper was held on December 7, 2025 (second session). The vacancies include 90 posts for male candidates and 92 for female candidates, along with four Special Teacher posts for Sparsh Blind School, one for Signal Deaf and Dumb School, and one for Prayas Physically Handicapped School.

A total of 40,402 candidates registered, and 26,273 appeared in the examination. As many as 2,772 candidates have cleared the preliminary stage. In certain categories, the Commission could not shortlist candidates up to 15 times the vacancies due to insufficient candidates meeting the prescribed minimum marks.

Home Science Stream

The Home Science preliminary exam was conducted on December 21, 2025 (first session). The recruitment drive includes 206 male and 163 female posts. It also covers two Special Teacher posts for Symptom Blind School/Integrated Special Secondary School and one post for Signal Deaf and Dumb School/Integrated Special Secondary School under the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities.

Out of 89,223 registered candidates, 55,475 appeared, and 2,784 candidates have been selected for the main examination. Similar to other subjects, in some categories the Commission was unable to maintain the 15-times-vacancy ratio because candidates did not meet the minimum proficiency benchmark.

Overall Figures

Across all four subjects, 2,98,743 candidates registered and 1,61,905 appeared in the preliminary examination. A total of 6,772 candidates have qualified for the main stage.

The Commission will release a separate notification regarding the schedule and application process for the main examination. Marks and cut-off details will be published only after the final results are declared. The Commission has also stated that no requests under the RTI Act, 2005, regarding marks or cut-offs will be entertained at this stage.

The results of female candidates from outside Uttar Pradesh will remain subject to the final judgment of the Hon’ble High Court in Special Appeal No. 475 (D)/2019 filed by the State Government of Uttar Pradesh.
