Description
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has announced the result of the RRB Clerk Preliminary Examination conducted under CRP RRBs XIV. This result is related to the recruitment of Group ‘B’ Office Assistant (Multipurpose) posts in Regional Rural Banks across India. Candidates who appeared for the online prelims exam can now check their qualifying status on the official IBPS website.
As per the official update, the preliminary examination result link has been activated from January 23, 2026, and candidates will be able to access their result status until January 29, 2026. Applicants are advised to download their result within this period for future reference.
Recruitment and Result Details
The recruitment process is being carried out through the Common Recruitment Process (CRP) for RRBs XIV, which covers appointments for Office Assistant (Clerk) as well as Officer Scale I, II, and III positions. However, in the current announcement, IBPS has released the prelims result only for the Office Assistant (Clerk) posts.
A total of 13,294 vacancies were notified under IBPS RRB Recruitment 2025, out of which 8,022 posts are earmarked for the Office Assistant/Clerk category. To be eligible, candidates must possess a graduate degree and have proficiency in the local language of the respective state or region. The prescribed age limit for the clerk post is 18 to 28 years, as mentioned in the official notification.
Important Examination Schedule
The IBPS RRB Clerk Preliminary Examination was conducted on December 6, 7, 13, and 14, 2025. Candidates who have qualified in the prelims will now be eligible to appear for the Clerk Mains Examination, which is scheduled to be held on February 1, 2026.
IBPS has clarified that the preliminary examination is qualifying in nature. The marks obtained in this stage will not be considered for the final merit list, which will be prepared solely on the basis of performance in the mains examination.

Selection Process and Next Stage
The selection process for the IBPS RRB Clerk post consists of two stages the Preliminary Examination and the Mains Examination. There is no interview for the Office Assistant post. Candidates who clear the mains exam will be required to undergo a document verification process in accordance with IBPS guidelines.
