Description
The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has officially released the examination dates for NEET PG 2026 and NEET MDS 2026. Candidates planning to appear for these postgraduate medical entrance exams can view the detailed notification on the official NBEMS website.
According to the official announcement, the NEET MDS 2026 examination is scheduled to take place on May 2, 2026, while the NEET PG 2026 exam will be conducted on August 30, 2026. The deadline for completing the mandatory internship is May 31, 2026 for NEET MDS aspirants and September 30, 2026 for NEET PG candidates.
Exam pattern details
The NEET PG 2026 examination will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions, with each question offering four answer options. The paper will be conducted in English only, and candidates must choose the most appropriate answer for each question. The total duration of the exam will be 3 hours and 30 minutes.
On the other hand, the NEET MDS 2026 exam will include 240 multiple-choice questions, each carrying four response options. Similar to NEET PG, the question paper will be available only in English. Candidates will be given 3 hours to complete the examination.
