The Jharkhand Public Service Commission (JPSC) has made available the admit card for the Jharkhand Forest Range Officer Main (Written) Competitive Examination. Candidates who have successfully qualified for the mains stage can download their hall tickets from the official JPSC website.

As per the notification, the Forest Range Officer Mains examination will be held on January 22 and January 24, 2026, across designated examination centres in Ranchi district. The recruitment examination is being conducted under Advertisement No. 04/2024.

JPSC Forest Range Officer Mains 2026 exam timetable

According to the official announcement, the examination will take place in two shifts on each exam day.

On January 22, 2026, Paper I (General Hindi and General English) is scheduled from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, followed by Paper II (General Studies) from 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm.

On January 24, 2026, Optional Subject Paper I will be conducted from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, while Optional Subject Paper II will take place from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm.

Admit card download and correction details

The commission has clearly stated that admit cards will not be dispatched via post. Candidates are required to download both the admit card and attendance sheet online from the official website.

The admit card is issued on a provisional basis, and the candidature of any candidate may be cancelled at any stage if found ineligible. In case of any discrepancy in the admit card or attendance sheet, candidates must submit a written request for correction to the commission on or before January 21, 2026.

Exam day guidelines

Candidates should report to their examination centre at least one hour prior to the exam. Entry gates will close at 8:00 am for the morning session and at 2:00 pm for the afternoon session.

Biometric verification along with IRIS scanning will be carried out at the examination centre. Candidates must bring their admit card, attendance sheet, and sign the attendance sheet in the presence of the invigilator. Two recent passport-size photographs, as specified on the admit card, are also mandatory.

Permitted and restricted items

Answer booklets will be provided by the commission for each paper, and candidates must write only in the prescribed OMR-based answer booklet. Failure to follow instructions or making incorrect entries may result in cancellation of the answer sheet.

For optional subjects such as Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Electronics, and Statistics, candidates are permitted to use non-programmable, battery-operated pocket calculators. Programmable calculators or those with data storage features are strictly prohibited.

Additional instructions

Candidates must remain seated in the examination hall for at least 30 minutes after the start of the examination. Early exit will not be permitted. Any violation of examination rules or disruptive behaviour may lead to disqualification.

Candidates are strongly advised to thoroughly read all instructions mentioned on the admit card and adhere to them strictly on the day of the examination.
