The Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) has commenced the online registration process for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) 2026 from January 17, 2026. The entrance exam is conducted for admission to various undergraduate professional programmes offered by colleges across Karnataka. Eligible applicants can apply through the official website.

KCET, also referred to as the Karnataka Undergraduate Common Entrance Test (UGCET), is held every year to facilitate admission into multiple professional courses based on candidates’ performance in the entrance examination and fulfillment of eligibility conditions set by KEA.

Courses Offered Through KCET 2026

KCET 2026 provides admission opportunities to the following undergraduate programmes:

  • Engineering

  • Agriculture

  • Veterinary Science

  • Pharmacy

  • BSc Nursing

Admission to these courses will be granted on the basis of KCET scores, subject to the eligibility norms prescribed by the authority.

KCET 2026 Exam Schedule

The KCET 2026 examination will be conducted over two days as per the following schedule:

  • April 23, 2026: Physics and Chemistry

  • April 24, 2026: Mathematics and Biology

Each exam day will have two sessions:

  • Morning session: 10:30 AM to 11:50 AM

  • Afternoon session: 2:30 PM to 3:50 PM

The duration of each paper will be 1 hour and 20 minutes.

Documents Required for KCET 2026 Registration

Candidates are advised to keep the following documents ready before starting the application process:

  • SSLC / Class 10 marks card

  • Aadhaar card

  • Active mobile number (preferably with WhatsApp)

  • Valid email ID

  • Scanned passport-size photograph in the specified format

  • Scanned signature in the prescribed format

  • Now click on the link available on the homepage.

  • Complete the new user registration by entering basic details.

  • Note down the login credentials received on the registered mobile number or email.

  • Log in and fill out the KCET 2026 application form with personal, academic, and contact information.

  • Upload the scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

  • Review all the entered details carefully to avoid errors.

  • Pay the application fee online as per the applicable category.

  • Submit the application form after successful payment.

  • Download and print the confirmation page for future reference.

KCET Registration 2026: Application Fee Details

The application fee for KCET 2026 varies according to the candidate’s category. Candidates from the General category are required to pay Rs 500, while applicants belonging to the SC and ST categories need to pay Rs 250. Candidates applying from outside Karnataka must pay Rs 750, and foreign applicants are required to pay Rs 5,000 to complete their registration.
