The National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS) has announced an extension of the deadline for submitting the No Objection Certificate (NOC) for candidates applying to Sponsored DNB (Post MBBS and Post Diploma) programmes for the 2025 admission session. This decision has been taken in accordance with directions issued by the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.

As per the Ministry’s communication and the latest notification released by NBEMS, the minimum qualifying percentile for NEET PG 2025 has been reduced. This measure aims to widen the pool of eligible candidates and ensure that sponsored DNB seats are fully utilized during the ongoing counselling process. The revised qualifying criteria apply only to NEET PG 2025 and are limited to the current admission cycle.

Revised Deadline for NOC Submission

Following the NBEMS notification dated December 10, 2025, related to the Centralized Merit-Based Online Counselling, the deadline for submission of the NOC has now been extended till February 7, 2026. Eligible candidates interested in participating in counselling for sponsored DNB seats can submit the required certificate within this revised timeline.

This extension offers an additional opportunity to candidates who meet the eligibility conditions but were unable to submit the document earlier.

Eligibility Criteria and NOC Format Remain the Same

NBEMS has clarified that there are no changes to the existing eligibility conditions or the prescribed NOC format. All rules and guidelines for counselling participation will continue to be governed by the December 10, 2025 notification.

Candidates must ensure that the NOC is issued by the competent authority, strictly follows the prescribed format, and is submitted before the extended deadline. Failure to comply with these requirements may lead to disqualification from the counselling process.
