The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has published the tentative examination calendar for 2026 on its official website, ssc.gov.in. Candidates preparing for various SSC recruitment exams can now review the expected notification dates, application deadlines, and exam months to plan their preparation accordingly.

As per the official calendar, major examinations such as the Combined Graduate Level (CGL) Examination 2026, Junior Engineer (Civil, Mechanical & Electrical) Examination 2026, and Selection Post Phase-XIV Examination 2026 are scheduled to begin their registration process in March 2026, with applications closing in April 2026. The examinations for these posts are expected to be conducted during May and June 2026.

The registration process for the Combined Higher Secondary Level (CHSL) Examination 2026, Stenographer Grade C and D Examination 2026, and Combined Hindi Translators Examination 2026 is likely to start in April 2026 and conclude in May 2026. The exams for these categories are tentatively scheduled between July and September 2026, while some will be held in August–September 2026.

In addition, the Multi-Tasking Staff (Non-Technical) and Havaldar (CBIC & CBN) Examination 2026 is expected to take place from September to November 2026. The Sub-Inspector in Delhi Police and Central Armed Police Forces Examination 2026 is planned for October–November 2026. Meanwhile, the Constable (GD) in CAPFs, NIA, SSF, and Rifleman (GD) in Assam Rifles Examination 2027 is tentatively scheduled between January and March 2027.
