Description
The Xavier Aptitude Test (XAT) 2026 provisional answer key has been released on January 9, 2026. Candidates who appeared for the entrance examination can now access the answer key through the official website.
Along with the provisional key, the exam authorities have also activated the objection facility. Aspirants who are not satisfied with any of the answers can submit challenges within the stipulated time frame by following the online process.
About the XAT 2026 Exam
The XAT 2026 examination was conducted on January 4, 2026, in a single session from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm. The test was held in computer-based mode, and all questions were presented in English.
The question paper consisted of 95 multiple-choice questions, each carrying five options with only one correct answer. The exam was divided into two separately timed sections Part 1 and Part 2.
Response Sheet Released Earlier
Before the release of the answer key, the XAT response sheet was made available on January 6, 2026. This allowed candidates to review their recorded responses and later compare them with the provisional answer key to calculate an estimated score ahead of the result declaration.

XAT 2026 Objection Process
The objection window is expected to remain open for two to three days, though the exact deadline has not been mentioned. Candidates who identify errors in the provisional answer key can submit objections online by paying a prescribed processing fee for each question challenged.
Only objections supported with valid justification and evidence will be considered. After reviewing all challenges, the authorities will publish the final answer key. The XAT 2026 results will be prepared based on this final version.
