The National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT) has extended the last date for submitting online applications for admission to the 2026-27 batch. The new deadline is January 13, 2026, according to a statement from the Ministry of Textiles. Interested candidates can apply through the official website.

NIFT is offering admission to undergraduate and postgraduate programs in fashion design, management, and technology, with reduced application fees across all categories. The institute clarified that the deadline was extended to allow more candidates to benefit from the fee reduction. Candidates can still submit applications from January 14 to 16, 2026, with a late fee.

Entrance Exam Details

The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the NIFT entrance exam on February 8, 2026, in 102 cities nationwide. Candidates can choose between computer-based testing (CBT) or pen-paper mode as per their convenience.

Reduced Fee Structure for 2026-27 Batch:

• General, OBC (NCL), and Open-EWS: Rs 2,000 (reduced from Rs 3,000)

• SC, ST, and PwD: Rs 500 (reduced from Rs 1,500)
