Description
The Uttar Pradesh Police Recruitment and Promotion Board (UPPRPB) has issued the admit cards for the Document Verification (DV) and Physical Standards Test (PST) for candidates who qualified in the written examination conducted under Direct Recruitment 2023. The DV/PST process is scheduled to commence from January 5, 2026, and will be carried out across 20 districts in Uttar Pradesh.
Candidates shortlisted for the posts of Police Sub Inspector (Confidential) and Assistant Sub Inspector can now access and download their admit cards online. It is essential to verify all the details mentioned on the admit card, as entry to the examination venue will not be permitted without it.
DV/PST Dates and Examination Centres
The DV/PST will be conducted for three categories of posts:
Sub Inspector (Confidential)
Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk)
Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts)
To ensure smooth conduct of the process for a large number of candidates, the board has arranged the tests simultaneously at multiple centres across 20 districts. Candidates must report strictly as per the date, time, and location specified on their admit cards and carry a printed copy along with a valid photo identity proof.

This recruitment drive aims to fill 921 posts, which include:
268 vacancies for Sub Inspector (Confidential)
449 vacancies for Assistant Sub Inspector (Clerk)
204 vacancies for Assistant Sub Inspector (Accounts)

Selection Procedure and Medical Requirements
The selection process involves multiple stages, including the written examination, DV/PST, and a mandatory medical examination. Candidates must satisfy the prescribed physical and medical standards to qualify for final selection.
A designated Medical Board will assess candidates for various conditions such as flat feet, knock knees, bow legs, varicose veins, eyesight (near and distant vision), colour vision, and hearing ability. Only those declared medically fit will be considered eligible for appointment.
