The examination will be conducted in computer-based mode (CBT) on May 17, 2026, as per the notified schedule.

The online application process for JEE Advanced 2026 will begin in April 2026. Separate registration windows have been provided for Foreign Nationals / OCI / PIO candidates and for Indian candidates who qualify JEE Main 2026.

JEE Advanced 2026 Exam Pattern
JEE Advanced 2026 will consist of two mandatory papers, both to be attempted on the same day:
Paper 1: 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
Paper 2: 2:30 PM to 5:30 PM
Candidates must appear for both papers to be considered eligible for ranking. The question papers will be available in English and Hindi.
Eligibility Criteria for JEE Advanced 2026
Only candidates who secure a position among the top 2.5 lakh rank holders in JEE Main 2026 will be permitted to apply for JEE Advanced 2026.
The National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct JEE Main 2026 in two phases:
Session 1: January 21 to January 30, 2026
Session 2: April 1 to April 10, 2026
