The Rajasthan BTSC Pre D.El.Ed 2026 application process has officially commenced for candidates aspiring to enrol in the two-year Diploma in Elementary Education (D.El.Ed.) course for the 2026–27 academic session. Earlier known as BSTC, the entrance examination is mandatory for admission to teacher training programmes for primary classes (Classes 1 to 5) across Rajasthan.

The examination is being conducted under the authority of Vardhman Mahaveer Open University (VMOU), Kota. It evaluates candidates on mental ability, Rajasthan-specific general knowledge, teaching aptitude, and language skills. Interested applicants can submit their forms online until December 31, 2025, after ensuring they meet the prescribed eligibility conditions and complete the fee payment.

Eligibility Criteria for Rajasthan Pre D.El.Ed 2026

Candidates applying for the Rajasthan Pre D.El.Ed programme must satisfy the following requirements:

• Educational Qualification: Applicants should have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination from a recognised board. A minimum of 50 per cent marks is required for general category candidates, while SC, ST and OBC applicants need at least 45 per cent. Students appearing in the final year of Class 12 are eligible to apply provisionally.

• Age Limit: The minimum age for applicants is 18 years, while the upper age limit is 28 years. Age relaxation will be applicable as per government norms.

Eligible candidates can complete the application process by following these steps:

• Log in using the generated credentials and enter personal and academic details.

• Upload a recent photograph and signature in the prescribed format.

• Pay the application fee online, which ranges between Rs 450 and Rs 500.

Rajasthan Pre D.El.Ed 2026 Exam Pattern

The Pre D.El.Ed examination will be conducted in offline mode and will have a duration of three hours. It will consist of 200 multiple-choice questions carrying a total of 600 marks. Each correct answer will be awarded three marks, and there is no negative marking.

The section-wise breakup of questions and marks is as follows:

• Mental Ability: 50 questions – 150 marks

• General Awareness of Rajasthan: 50 questions – 150 marks

• Teaching Aptitude: 50 questions – 150 marks

• Language Ability: 100 questions – 300 marks (English, Hindi, or Sanskrit, depending on the course)
