The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has announced an extension for the resignation facility for NEET PG Round 1 and Round 2 seat allotments. Candidates who have not yet resigned their allotted seats can do so through the official MCC portal.

The resignation window opened at 2:00 PM on December 22, 2025, and will remain active until 6:00 PM on December 26, 2025. Aspirants wishing to relinquish their seats should follow the guidelines below:

• Round-2 Joined Candidates: Candidates who were allotted seats in Round 2 and have joined their respective colleges can resign during the specified window. Note that resigning at this stage will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit.

• Upgraded Round-2 Candidates: Those who were upgraded in Round 2, accepted the upgraded seat, and now wish to resign may also do so within the stipulated period, with the security deposit being forfeited.

• Mandatory College Visit: Candidates must physically report to their assigned college to complete the resignation process. It is essential that the Resignation Letter is generated through the MCC portal by the college; failure to do so will render the resignation invalid.
