The Gujarat Police Recruitment Board (GPRB) is set to conclude the online application process for Gujarat Police Recruitment 2025 on December 23, 2025, at 11:59 PM. Candidates who are yet to apply are advised to complete their registration promptly to avoid any last-minute technical difficulties.

This extensive recruitment campaign seeks to fill 13,591 vacancies across various positions, including Police Sub-Inspector (PSI), Jailer, Lokrakshak, Constable, Armed Constable, State Reserve Police Force (SRPF) Constable, and Jail Sepoy. Applications are being accepted through the Online Job Application System (OJAS) Gujarat portal.

Gujarat Police Recruitment 2025: Vacancy distribution

Out of the total 13,591 posts, 858 vacancies are earmarked for Police Sub-Inspector and Jailer roles. The remaining 12,733 positions are allocated to Lokrakshak, Constable, Armed Constable, SRPF Constable, and Jail Sepoy categories, making this one of the largest police recruitment drives in the state in recent years.

Eligibility criteria

Applicants must meet the educational, age, and physical standards prescribed for each post:

• Police Sub-Inspector and Jailer: Graduation degree; age between 21 and 35 years

• Lokrakshak, Constable, and Jail Sepoy: Class 12 pass; age between 18 and 33 years

Candidates must also satisfy physical eligibility requirements, including minimum height, chest measurements for male candidates, and height-weight standards for female candidates. Age relaxation is applicable for SC, ST, OBC, and other reserved categories in accordance with government norms.

• Pay the application fee, if required.

Selection process

The recruitment process will be conducted in multiple stages. Candidates must first qualify the Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET), which are qualifying in nature. This will be followed by a written examination, the structure of which differs by post.

For Police Sub-Inspector posts, candidates will appear for both objective and descriptive papers carrying a total of 300 marks. Applicants for Constable and Lokrakshak posts will take an objective-type test comprising 200 questions for 200 marks, with a penalty of 0.25 marks for each incorrect answer.

Candidates shortlisted after the written examination will be called for document verification, and interviews may be conducted wherever applicable.

Applicants are advised to complete the registration process before the deadline, as no applications will be accepted after 11:59 PM on December 23, 2025.
