The Bihar School Examination Board (BSEB) has started the registration process for the Diploma in Elementary Education (DElEd) programme for the 2026–28 session. The board has issued the official notification for the DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2026, and the application window will remain open from December 11 to December 24, 2025 on the official portal.

The entrance examination will be conducted for admission to over 30,000 seats across Bihar. The website also includes detailed information on 306 participating DElEd colleges along with their respective seat capacity.

Eligibility Criteria for Bihar DElEd Joint Entrance Exam 2026

To apply for the Bihar DElEd Joint Entrance Examination 2026, candidates must meet the following requirements:

• Applicants should have secured at least 50% marks in Class 12.

• A 5% relaxation in minimum marks is provided to candidates from reserved categories.

• Students who have completed the Maulvi examination with a minimum of 50% marks are also eligible.

• The minimum age to apply is 17 years, calculated as of the first day of the first month of the admission year.

Qualifying Marks

To qualify for the Bihar DElEd Joint Entrance Exam 2026:

• General category candidates must score 35% or above.

• Reserved category candidates need at least 30%.

Exam Pattern for Bihar DElEd Entrance Test 2026

The entrance test will include 120 objective-type questions for a total of 120 marks, and the exam duration will be 2 hours and 30 minutes. The question paper will feature the following sections:

• General Hindi/Urdu – 25 questions

• Mathematics – 25 questions

• Science – 20 questions

• Social Studies – 20 questions

• General English – 20 questions

• Reasoning and Analytical Ability – 10 questions

Candidates who qualify will be allotted colleges based on their merit rank and the choices submitted during the application process.
