The Medical Counselling Committee (MCC) has extended the choice-filling deadline for NEET PG 2025 Round 2 Counselling. Candidates applying for admission under the 50% All India Quota (AIQ) can now submit and lock their choices on the official website, until December 12, 2025.
The extension comes after the inclusion of 2,620 additional postgraduate medical seats in the Round 2 counselling process, raising the total number of seats available this round to 32,080. Because of this change, the NEET PG Round 2 seat allotment result, originally planned for December 12, 2025, will now be announced at a later date.
The PwD (Persons with Disability) portal for Round 2 remains active and will be available until 4:00 PM on December 12, 2025. MCC has advised eligible PwD candidates to visit designated disability centres to obtain certificates in accordance with National Medical Commission (NMC) guidelines.
Earlier Counselling Timeline
As per the previous schedule, Round 2 counselling began after participating institutes verified the tentative seat matrix.
Choice filling and locking were initially allowed from December 5 to December 9, 2025, with the locking option activated from 4:00 PM on December 9.
MCC was set to process seat allotment between December 10 and December 11, and publish the results on December 12, 2025.
These dates will now be revised due to the extended choice-filling period.
Documents Required for NEET PG 2025 Round 2
Candidates should keep the following documents ready for reporting and verification:

NEET PG result
MBBS/BDS professional exam mark sheets
MBBS/BDS degree certificate

What Happens After Choice Submission
Once the revised Round 2 seat allotment results are declared, candidates must report to their allotted colleges within the allotted time. Institutions will verify documents and complete the admission formalities based on the seat matrix and the choices submitted.
