Women’s Team Defends Asian Crown
The women’s compound team, featuring Jyothi Surekha Vennam, Deepshikha and Prithika Pradeep, successfully retained their Asian Championship title. The trio defeated Korea 236–234, edging ahead by a single point in two ends and maintaining control throughout the match. The victory reaffirmed their position as the leading women’s compound team in Asia.
Mixed Team Triumph And Men’s Team Silver
Deepshikha secured her second gold medal of the day by pairing with Abhishek Verma in the mixed team final. The duo defeated Bangladesh 153–151, taking an early four-point lead and managing the contest with confidence.
Meanwhile, the men’s compound team Verma, Sahil Rajesh Jadhav and Prathamesh Bhalchandra Fuge fell just short against Kazakhstan, losing 230–229 and earning a silver medal after a close battle.
All-Indian Clash In Women’s Individual Final
The women’s individual final saw an all-Indian face-off, with Jyothi Surekha Vennam defeating 17-year-old Prithika Pradeep 147–145 to claim the gold medal. Jyothi entered the final following a dominant semifinal performance, while Prithika impressed with a mature and steady campaign en route to her silver medal.
