The Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE) will host the third International Conference on Green Hydrogen (ICGH-2025) in New Delhi on November 11–12. The two-day gathering will bring together policymakers, scientists, and industry stakeholders to explore strategies for developing a resilient and sustainable green hydrogen ecosystem in India.

Emphasis On Green Hydrogen Development

ICGH-2025 will feature plenary sessions, expert panels, and technical discussions focused on expanding green hydrogen production and its contribution to India’s net-zero targets. Participants will address challenges such as scaling hydrogen technologies, financing clean energy infrastructure, and securing the supply chain for this emerging sector.

India’s Renewable Energy Achievements

The conference comes amid India’s record-breaking renewable energy growth. In the first half of the 2025–26 fiscal year, wind energy capacity increased by 3,089 MW, with an expected total addition of approximately 6 GW by year-end. Solar installations also continue to rise, with 21,686 MW added recently, bringing the nation’s cumulative solar capacity to 1,27,332 MW by September 2025.

Promoting Global And Domestic Partnerships

ICGH-2025 aims to enhance international collaboration by connecting India’s National Green Hydrogen Mission with global best practices. The event will focus on research collaborations, electrolyser production, and hydrogen mobility solutions. With a target of producing 5 million tonnes of green hydrogen annually by 2030, discussions will also emphasise innovation, investment, and supportive policy frameworks.
