India has reached a new milestone in higher education, with seven of its institutions making it to the top 100 in the QS Asia University Rankings 2026. The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Delhi leads the national list, securing the 59th position overall, followed by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) Bangalore and several other IITs. Others in the top 10 include Fudan University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST), Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK), and Tsinghua University.
