The National Security Guard (NSG), India’s premier counter-terrorism force, announced the establishment of a new operational hub in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, in October 2025. Emphasis On Training And Skill Development

The NSG headquarters plans to intensify training programs for its own personnel as well as state-level anti-terror units. Special Operations Training Centre At Manesar

A newly inaugurated Special Operations Training Centre (SOTC) in Manesar, Haryana, spans eight acres and involved an investment of Rupees 141 crore. The facility provides state-of-the-art training infrastructure, including realistic combat simulation technologies. Both NSG commandos and state police anti-terror squads will benefit, enhancing India’s counter-terrorism capabilities.

Cooperative Efforts For Enhanced Security

Acknowledging that effective counter-terrorism requires collaboration, the government stresses close coordination among the NSG, Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs), and state police. A standardized operating procedure (SOP) for anti-terror operations has been circulated to all states, facilitating unified and efficient responses across different regions.

Strategic Planning And Intelligence Integration

Over the past 40 years, the NSG has conducted assessments of more than 770 critical sites across the country. A comprehensive database supports swift and informed decision-making during emergencies. Key locations like hospitals, religious sites, waterways, and Parliament are continuously monitored for security. Additionally, a 3D mapping system aids in precise operational planning and execution.
