Description
The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the final results of the Combined Defence Services Examination (CDS I) 2025. Candidates who appeared for the written examination and the subsequent SSB interviews can now check the final merit list on the official UPSC website.
According to the official notification, a total of 365 candidates have been shortlisted in the final merit list for admission to the following courses:
160th (DE) Course at the Indian Military Academy (IMA), Dehradun
Indian Naval Academy (INA), Ezhimala, Kerala
Air Force Academy (AFA), Hyderabad (Pre-Flying) Training Course
UPSC stated that 2,560 candidates had qualified in the written examination for the IMA, 942 for the INA, and 636 for the AFA. The final list includes candidates who successfully cleared the SSB interviews conducted by the respective service headquarters. The commission also clarified that the results of medical examinations were not considered while preparing the final merit list.
The Army Headquarters is currently verifying the educational qualifications and date of birth of the recommended candidates. Hence, their candidature remains provisional until these verifications are completed. Qualified candidates must send their original certificates along with attested photocopies in support of their educational qualification and date of birth to the Army, Naval, or Air Headquarters, depending on their first preference.
