The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has extended the GATE 2026 registration window with a late fee, offering candidates an additional opportunity to apply for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026. Interested applicants can now complete their registration through the official website till October 13, 2025, by paying the applicable late fee.

Revised GATE 2026 Application Fee

During the extended period, candidates are required to pay the following fees per test paper:

  • Rs 1,500 – for Female / SC / ST / PwD candidates

  • Rs 2,500 – for all other candidates, including foreign nationals

The payment must be made online only. Earlier, the last date to apply with a late fee was October 9, 2025.

GATE 2026 Exam Schedule

The GATE 2026 examination will be conducted on February 7, 8, 14, and 15, 2025, and the results will be declared on March 19, 2025. This year, IIT Guwahati is the organizing institute for the examination.

Candidates can follow these steps to complete their application process:

  • First visit the official website.

  • Click on the link “Register for GATE 2026.”

  • Complete the registration process by entering your details.

  • Fill in the application form and pay the required application fee.

  • Submit the form and download a copy for reference.
