Description
The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) has announced that the application window for the recruitment of 1,253 assistant professors in government degree colleges will close on Monday, October 6, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates must submit their applications through the UPPSC official website. The commission has also provided a correction window for applicants to rectify errors in their submissions or resolve payment issues, which will remain open until October 13, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must be between 21 and 40 years of age as of July 1, 2025. Age relaxation is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories in accordance with government rules.

Application Fee
The application fees vary depending on the candidate category:
Unreserved / Economically Weaker Sections / Other Backward Classes: Rupees 125 (Exam fee Rupees 100 + online processing fee Rupees 25)
Scheduled Castes / Scheduled Tribes: Rupees 65 (Exam fee Rupees 40 + online processing fee Rupees 25)
Persons with Disabilities (PwDs): Rupees 25 (only online processing fee; no exam fee)
Examination Details
The selection process begins with a Preliminary Examination conducted at various district centres across Uttar Pradesh. Key details of the prelims are:

Question Type: Objective
Total Questions: 120
Maximum Marks: 150
Candidates who clear the prelims will be shortlisted for the Main Examination.
Selection Process
Final selection will be based on the combined performance in the Main (Written) Examination and Interview. The UPPSC e-Admission certificate will inform candidates of their examination dates and allotted centres.
