Description
The Bihar Public Service Commission (BPSC) has announced the commencement of the application process for the recruitment of 935 Assistant Education Development Officer (AEDO) positions under the Education Department. The registration will start on Wednesday, August 27, 2025, and interested candidates can submit their applications through the official BPSC portal. The last date to apply is September 26, 2025.
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements to apply for the AEDO posts:
Educational Qualification: Graduation or Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university.
Age Limit (as of August 1, 2025):
Unreserved Male: Maximum 37 years
Unreserved Female: Maximum 40 years
Backward Class / Extremely Backward Class (Male/Female): Maximum 40 years
Scheduled Caste / Scheduled Tribe (Male/Female): Maximum 42 years
Minimum Age: 21 years
Application Fee
Applicants are required to pay an application fee of Rupees 100. Candidates who do not provide Aadhaar card details for identity verification must pay an additional Rupees 200 to cover biometric charges.
Selection Process
The BPSC AEDO recruitment will follow a two-stage selection process:
Written Examination:
Objective-type questions
Total Marks: 100
Duration: 2 hours
Document Verification:
Shortlisted candidates must submit original certificates as mentioned in their application.
After verification, a merit list will be prepared based on the marks obtained in the written examination.
