The State Bank of India (SBI) will close the online application process for the recruitment of Junior Associates Customer Support and Sales (SBI Clerk 2026) on August 26, 2025. Interested and eligible candidates who have not yet applied can complete their registration through the official website.
This recruitment drive aims to fill a total of 6,589 vacancies (regular as well as backlog posts) for Junior Associates across the country.
SBI Clerk 2026: Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit: Applicants must be between 20 and 28 years of age as on April 1, 2025.
Candidates should have been born not earlier than April 2, 1997, and not later than April 1, 2005 (both dates inclusive).
Relaxation in the upper age limit is applicable for candidates belonging to reserved categories as per government rules.
Educational Qualification:
A graduation degree in any discipline from a recognised university or an equivalent qualification is mandatory.
Candidates pursuing integrated dual degree programmes must ensure their date of passing is on or before December 31, 2025.
Students in their final year/semester of graduation can also apply provisionally but must produce proof of qualification by December 31, 2025 if selected.
SBI Clerk 2026: Selection Process
The recruitment process includes the following stages:
Preliminary Examination:
Objective-type test carrying 100 marks
Duration: 1 hour
Main Examination:
Total of 190 questions for 200 marks
Duration: 2 hours 40 minutes
Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT):
Candidates who did not study the specified local language of the state (in Class 10 or 12) but qualify in the mains exam must appear for this test.

General, OBC, and EWS candidates: Rs 750
SC, ST, PwBD, XS, and DXS candidates: Exempted from fee payment
