About Dal Lake
Location and Geography: Dal Lake is a mid-altitude urban lake situated in the heart of Srinagar, Jammu and Kashmir. Surrounded by the scenic Pir Panjal mountains, the lake has long been a hub for tourism and recreational activities, earning the moniker “Jewel in the Crown of Kashmir”.
Natural and Cultural Significance:
Dal Lake is among the largest natural lakes in the world, often referred to as the “Lake of Flowers” due to its serene beauty.
