The Ministry of Education has announced the availability of free Artificial Intelligence (AI) courses on the SWAYAM portal, aiming to equip students with the skills required to meet the growing demand for AI expertise in India’s digital economy.

About SWAYAM Portal

SWAYAM (Study Webs of Active–Learning for Young Aspiring Minds) is India’s indigenous Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) platform, launched in 2017 under the Ministry of Education (MoE). The platform aims to bridge the digital divide, enabling students from remote or underserved areas to access high-quality educational content and integrate into the mainstream knowledge economy.

SWAYAM hosts courses ranging from Class 9 to postgraduate levels, allowing learners from anywhere in India to access them for free. All courses are interactive and prepared by some of the country’s leading educators, ensuring quality education for students across disciplines.

Features Of SWAYAM Courses

Courses on SWAYAM are structured into four quadrants:

• Video Lectures – High-quality lectures delivered by expert educators.
