The National Health Authority (NHA), in collaboration with the Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to introduce e-Sushrut@Clinic, a lightweight, cloud-based Hospital Management Information System (HMIS) designed for outpatient clinics and smaller healthcare facilities. This initiative represents a major step in enhancing the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission (ABDM) ecosystem and expanding digital healthcare services across India.

Overview Of e-Sushrut@Clinic

e-Sushrut@Clinic is a simplified, web-based version of C-DAC’s flagship e-Sushrut HMIS software, tailored specifically for small and medium healthcare providers. The system provides an affordable and user-friendly solution for managing outpatient services, pharmacy operations, and nursing modules, making it ideal for clinics, sub-centres, and medium-sized hospitals.

Key Features

• Outpatient-Focused Management - The platform is designed to handle outpatient workflows efficiently, including patient registration, appointment management, pharmacy, and nursing operations.

• Easy Onboarding and Registration - Healthcare providers can access e-Sushrut@Clinic via laptops or mobile devices by registering through the Health Facility Registry (HFR) and Health Professionals Registry (HPR). If a provider is not yet registered on HFR/HPR, the platform allows in-app registration, ensuring seamless adoption.

• Digitization of Patient Records - Clinics can digitize patient health records, prescriptions, diagnostics, and billing with minimal technical setup, helping doctors save time and improve accuracy in patient care.

• Integration with ABDM Services - e-Sushrut@Clinic supports several utilities from the Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission, enabling integration with national health data standards and services. This includes access to the AIIMS Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) for managing conditions such as hypertension and diabetes. The CDSS is available free for all ABDM-integrated software, assisting healthcare providers in making more informed clinical decisions.

• Telemedicine and Remote Services - The platform facilitates telemedicine consultations, allowing doctors to provide remote care and maintain continuity in patient treatment.
