India has reaffirmed its robust standing in the global fisheries landscape by clinching the second position in global fish production, as confirmed by Union Minister of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Rajiv Ranjan Singh. Additionally, the Minister reviewed the Kisan Credit Card (KCC) scheme’s outreach to fish farmers. This is crucial in increasing productivity and profitability, especially among small and marginal aquaculture practitioners.
